Joanne Stefani Germanotta was born March 20, 1986 (in the year of the Tiger, such as myself) She is best known by her stage name Lady GaGa. Lady Gaga is an American singer/songwriter/musician. She was born in Yonkers NY, to Italian parents.
Lady GaGa was influenced by rockers such as David Bowie as well as 80's pop artists such as Madonna and Michael Jackson.
Growing up in Manhattan, she attended/studied at New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. At age 20, she began working for Interscope Records.
In 2008, Lady GaGa released her debut album, The Fame; to date, the album spawned the hit singles "Just Dance" & "Poker Face".
In terms of fashion GaGa believe's it's all about everything altogether: performance art, pop performance art, and of course, fashion!
She channels designers such as Versace in everything she does and considers Donatella Versace to be her muse. About Versace she says, "She’s iconic and powerful, yet people throw darts at her. She’s definitely provocative." Wikipedia.
